Follow these steps to enable Riverbed Steelhead appliances to export NetFlow records to a Sinefa Instance.
Note 1: Requires RiOS 6.0 (or newer).
Note 2: Ensure that the time on the Steelhead device is accurate. An incorrect date or time on the device will have adverse effects on the reporting.
Log into the Steelhead Management Console and navigate to the Configure, Networking, Flow Export page.
Check 'Enable Flow Export' and enter the timeout settings as shown below.
Click 'Apply' to save the settings.
Click the 'Add a New Flow Collector' button.
- Enter the IP Address of the Sinefa Instance in the 'Collector IP Address' field.
- Leave the Port as 2055 (the default).
- Change the Version to 'Netflow v9'.
- Change all Capture Interfaces to 'None' except any WAN interfaces, they should be set to 'All', as shown below.
Click 'Add' when complete. This Steelhead appliance will now export NetFlow records to the configured Sinefa Instance.
Note: Be sure to save the Steelhead configuration so these changes survive a reboot of the appliance.
